The Uptown Group House Foundation in cooperation with the Uptown Group Steering Board has implemented an extensive safety plan to offer meetings as of June 15th, 2020. If you’d like to read through our plan you can find it here.
In order to safely operate meetings in the house as a first stage we have decided that only limited preset daily times for meetings will be offered at this time. These daily times are 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, and 6pm only. There will be a limit of 6 rooms and 42 people maximum in the house during these meeting times. The house will be locked when the rooms are full and the capacity is reached. Masks will be required for individuals to attend. Volunteers are being asked to help us safely operate these meetings and keep the house clean. The house is in need of regular daily/weekly volunteers for the following roles/responsibilities for each meeting time:
- 1 person to monitor attendance at the front door and close/lock door when max capacity is reached, hang a sign indicating capacity has been reached (pre-meeting)
- 1 person to assist members to find an open room in the house (pre-meeting)
- 1 person to facilitate cleaning & un-locking of the front door after meeting completion (post-meeting)
- 2+ people from meeting rooms to facilitate cleaning/sanitizing the house
